Bassists the world over have struggled with the task of amplifying their upright basses. The right combination of body resonance, pickup application and playability have proved  to be a challenging and elusive goal. 

Bob Taylor has created a bass that takes a giant step closer to the dream. A beautiful anacoustic body and the correct playing surfaces of a standard 3/4 bass viol (right handed shown). A K&K bridge pickup is the standard set up for warm, rich tone. Pickup selection and installation can be varied for distinctive requirements, but these babies just don't generate feedback up to extreme volume levels, and the sound is as gorgeous as the bass itself.
